Criminogenic needs are characteristics, traits, problems, or issues of an individual that directly relate to the individual's likelihood to re-offend and commit another crime. An RNR assessment uses an actuarial evaluation to guide decision-making at various points across the criminal justice continuum by approximating a person's likelihood of reoffending and determining what individual criminogenic needs must be addressed to reduce that likelihood. The seven main dynamic criminogenic needs are substance usage, antisocial peer networks, criminal thinking, family/marital relationships, employment/education, leisure/recreation, and antisocial personality.
TRANSPORTATION AND CLOTHING:
We will pick you up at the facility that you are being released from . This will be arranged with the intake coordinator. If you do not have family support for clothing, let your assigned support staff know this in advance and we will have clothing waiting for you.
PROGRAM SERVICES:
If Medically Necessary, Phoenix Oasis provides Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment that consist Groups 4-5x a week, Additionally, one on one counseling, case management support, and peer support services will be provided. You will be required to diligently participate in all facets of the program.
CURRICULUM:
Phoenix Oasis uses a specialized evidence-based assessment and curriculum that is specifically designed for individuals who have a history of substance use along with incarceration. It targets criminogenic needs that have affected an individual’s life. Criminogenic needs are factors in a person's life that are related to recidivism. Criminogenic needs include antisocial behavior, antisocial personality, criminal thinking, criminal associates, dysfunctional family, employment/education, leisure/recreation, and substance abuse or alcohol addiction.
RECREATION:
The property is 4.3 acres with a large recreation area, picnic, and BBQ area that is very peaceful and relaxing. Gardening will be available for those interested. The recreation area includes:
1. Weights
2. Basketball
3. Pool
4. Infrared Sauna with red light therapy
5. Spa
FOOD AND OTHER AMENITIES:
1. Shopping is available within walking distance, and Walmart delivery.
2. Barbecue and picnic area.
3. Visits will be permitted on weekends for approved visitors.
Visiting hours are Saturday and Sunday11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
